Once upon a time, at an unnamed Toronto public library, I stumbled upon the accursed book called The Best DVDs You’ve Never Seen, Just Missed or Almost Forgotten, compiled by the film critics of The New York Times. I only ever imagined this book in my head and never thought it existed outside of my fantasy. This book should never be in the possession of any mild to moderate cinephile, because it will provoke said OCD individuals to create a blog about watching the 500 or so films in the space of 365 days. This unsound undertaking is inspired by, of course, Julie & Julia which any cinephile would have seen and liked, if not loved.
Let the insanity begin!
